Something For My Male Readers

I'd like to take this opportunity to talk about something I have no business talking about. Sports.

When God made me he went down the chart and clicked off all my characteristics. Lots of moles, check. Underdeveloped chin, check. Sense of humor, check. Uncanny ability to recognize make and model of car by horn sound, check. Run and move hips at the same time, NOT CHECKED. Hand, eye coordination, NOT CHECKED. Etc. You get the point. I once thought I'd get into sports so I joined our church softball league. At our first game, my dog untied himself and went on the pitchers mound and pooped. During the game. I think he was trying to tell me something. I have never played organized sports since that time.

This has nothing to do with what I was going to write about but I felt it was important. Plus, it's my blog and I like to talk about myself.

This post is two part. Today, the good news. Craig is good at bike riding. He can ride a lot of miles while I'm still back at home adjusting my bike seat. He has ridden across Michigan, through Southern Indiana, lots of bike trips. He's got a disfigured shoulder which he is proud of, from a bicycle accident. He even has "the shelf". Which he makes me admire once every couple of years. Evidently, it's where a specific muscle gets developed so much from riding your bike that it forms a shelf on your leg. I make him use it to hold my polar pops sometimes on long trips. So, he is good at something sports related. He is a sexy bike rider- don't you think? I asked him if I could measure his thighs and he said, "no, maybe later".

In contrast to that, there is a sport my 6 ' 7.5" husband is not so good at. Oh, by the way, never assume because a person is tall that he/she can play basketball. For the love of all that is good in the world- please stop asking him this question. Most would assume, "oh you can't play ball because you are uncoordinated- or because you have bad knees, or because you have an aversion to purple and royal blue high tops" (what's up with the basketball uniforms?) All of your assumptions are WRONG.

Tune in tomorrow for the reason why Craig is no good at basketball. Up until now- myself, God, and a Mexican waitress in the Bahamas are the only ones who know the answer. So don't be late.... you won't want to miss this.
